Now this was a better script and like how he broke character and made up lines! It's so much funnier that way!

Soooooo it takes a movie for a lot of folks to be proud of their heritage? Let's take other ethnicities out of the equation & deal w/us. Until we can get to a place where we all stop the discord amongst ourselves (light skin vs dark, African vs African American, woke vs unenlightened, crab barrel vs village mentality) and identify what's real versus what's fake & take our futures into our own hands without looking for validation elsewhere, there will always be some who continues to shift blame, instead of being accountable. The one hand praising a movie that rightfully depicts us as Kings & Queens, but the other hand sees the reality of us in the world representing ourselves as less than nobility. Someone in the comments called another brother/sister coon b/c they disagreed in opinion of the movie (cinematography, wardrobe, & score were the only standouts for me)... to show the backstory of a black character why would they not use black actors & actresses? The producer is black that's great too, but the person making the highest profit for this movie is not black; I'm sorry to inform you. OAN why be bothered by generalizations? If not any part of it (ex in law that is an embarrassment) were true (or if it doesn't apply to you) there would be basis for anger and outrage. How are you shouting Wakanda forever but couldn't stay out of the stores when there was a call to boycott Black Friday, when u call each other everything but a child of God, recklessly having sex THEN killing the baby, promoting promiscuity & then only calling the woman a whore, not helping folks when you know they are in need - GOH!!! As a matter of fact, there are other black directed, predominantly black films that touch on real issues, but didn't get benefit of the 'black dollar'...so who are you (those so invested they are BIG Mad) really mad at?The fictional country is a great aspiration/goal... when actual change towards that goal... maybe it could if we ALL respect & love self versus celebrity, fame, money, or likes over & above everything else. Just maybe.... in the meantime...
